Yacht insurance provides valuable cover if are an owner of a small dinghy, laser sail boat, large clipper vessel or a large private yacht. It will protect you against loss or damage to your vessel and loss of personal possessions on the vessel, as well as personal accident, public liability and employers’ liability cover.
The minimum cover provided by a Yacht Insurance policy provides third party liability insurance in the event of an accident with a third party, person or property.
If you operate or charter a vessel in the inland waters of the UK or further ashore you should have at least basic third party liability insurance. With larger vessels Employers’ Liability insurance can be included to cover crew members on shore while on ship’s business.
Having a yacht policy provides you with the peace of mind that you are protected against any yacht-related claims made against you.
